The SawTrax Beam Saw Kit provides the core mechanical components needed to build a high‑accuracy beam saw using your own circular saw, guide tubes, and dust collection system. This kit is ideal for shops that want the precision of a commercial panel saw, but prefer to fabricate their own frame or integrate the system into existing shop infrastructure.

The kit includes:

  • Guide Tube Brackets
  • Saw Insert Plate
  • Roller Bearings (Accu‑Glide)

To complete the system, customers must supply:

  • Makita 5402NA Circular Saw (16‑5/16") (recommended industry standard for beam saw setups)
  • Guide Tubes: We recommend Round DOM tubing, 85.75” × 1.75” × .250” wall
  • Dust Collection: Shop‑vac or integrated system depending on shop environment

Beam Saw Kit

The Beam Saw Kit provides the precision tracking mechanism required for straight, repeatable cuts across large sheet materials. When paired with the Makita 5402NA and DOM guide tubes, the system becomes a rigid, smooth‑travel beam saw capable of sizing:

  • Plywood
  • MDF
  • OSB
  • ACM panels
  • Plastics
  • Aluminum sheets
  • Other sheet goods up to 1.75″ tube spacing width

Key Features

  • Accu‑Glide Roller Bearings: Sealed steel bearings provide smooth, low‑friction travel along DOM tubing, maintaining cut accuracy even under heavy load.
  • Saw Insert Plate: Precision‑machined plate designed to accept the Makita 5402NA, ensuring stable mounting and consistent blade alignment.
  • Guide Tube Brackets: Heavy‑duty brackets secure the DOM tubing to your custom frame, maintaining parallelism and rigidity.
  • User‑Built Frame Flexibility: Allows integration into custom shop layouts, mobile job‑site rigs, or fixed production stations.
  • Commercial Accuracy: When properly installed, systems typically achieve ±1/32″ repeatability across full sheet lengths.
