HD Truck Bed Telescoping Reacher

The HD Truck Bed Telescoping Reacher is a stainless‑steel and fiberglass retrieval pole designed to access the full length of a truck bed from the ground. Its twist‑lock telescoping body extends from 51″ to 95″, giving operators reach into corners, under cargo, and across long beds without stepping onto the tailgate. At roughly 2 lbs, it stores easily behind the seat and deploys instantly for fast, controlled load handling.

A multi‑function head provides reliable engagement with boxed goods, bagged materials, hoses, cables, and irregular items: making it a universal retrieval tool for industrial fleets and field technicians.

Ergonomics + Safety

The HD Truck Bed Reacher is engineered to reduce the injury‑prone movements common in delivery, installation, and service work.

  • Eliminates tailgate jumps: reducing repeated impact on knees, ankles, and spine.

“Jump‑downs… pound knees and ankles; one bad landing on gravel or ice turns into a sprain or fracture.”

  • Prevents climb‑ins and kneeling on corrugated beds: minimizing shoulder, knee, and lower‑back strain.

“Crawling over rails and kneeling on corrugated beds strains shoulders, knees, and backs.”

  • Keeps operators grounded: both feet planted, load retrieved close to the body, reducing awkward reach postures.
  • Controls load movement: reinforced head geometry prevents bag tears, uncontrolled shifts, and improvised tool hazards.

The result is a safer, more repeatable workflow that aligns with industrial ergonomics and fleet safety standards.

How it Works

The HD Reacher uses a three‑function head designed for industrial versatility:

  • Pull Function: A narrow reinforced lip slides under and behind cargo, drawing loads smoothly toward the tailgate without tearing packaging.
  • Lift Function: A wide‑mouth hook captures rope, cable, wire, and hose: ideal for retrieving flexible materials from corners or under other items.
  • Hang Function: A vertical double‑hook allows storage on racks and enables overhead product placement without additional ladder trips.

The telescoping body locks securely with a twist‑mechanism, maintaining rigidity under load. A replaceable HD pull end ensures long‑term durability in high‑frequency fleet environments.

Why Choose SawTrax REACHER™ HD Truck Bed Reach Pole?

SawTrax’s Heavy-Duty Telescoping Reacher Pull Pole is built to go beyond ordinary reachers. Each pull pole comes equipped with a wide-mouthed head with a vertical double hook back designed to grab, hook, and pull with serious strength. Constructed with a fiberglass and reinforced stainless steel pole, it’s ready for the toughest jobs: indoors, outdoors, or on the water.  Unlike some other bed reachers that need to hook an item, this reacher can go behind an item like a box to pull it forward.

Workers frequently use metal pipes, broom handles, or makeshift hooks to pull items from truck beds or elevated storage. These improvised tools often:

    • Tear bags or packaging
    • Scratch or dent cargo
    • Require climbing into the truck bed
    • Increase risk of slips and strains

The HD Telescoping Reacher eliminates these problems with a purpose‑built, controlled reach system. We’ve got a limited number of extra HD Telescoping Reachers available: once they’re gone, they’re gone!
