Directional Wheel for the Scoop Dolly

Gain better control over your load. The Directional Wheel converts your dolly from an omnidirectional system into a push-capable rig, letting you guide heavy loads with precision in one direction, helping you keep the load moving straight. Without a Directional Wheel, pulling or pushing heavy loads can cause swinging and misalignment—especially around tight corners. Add the Directional Wheel and transform your workflow: push your dolly straight ahead, keep your eyes on the path, and reduce the risk of bumps or tip-overs.

Features and Benefits

  • Push with precision – Lets you push your dolly in a straight direction without any deviation from your path.
  • Stabilizes loads in motion – Keeps panels, doors, or heavy materials moving straight, reducing risk of collisions or damage.
  • Quick installation – Bolts directly onto Scoop Dollies with no modifications required.
  • Heavy-duty construction – Built to handle the same rugged environments as your dolly—warehouse, job site, or uneven ground.
  • Improves operator safety – Maintain better handling when maneuvering through tight spaces.

Directional Wheel – One-Person Precision Steering

The Directional Wheel locks a fixed wheel, giving your dolly the tracking stability it needs to push straight—no more fighting caster drift. Pushing loads over long distances in a warehouse or onto a truck becomes safer and easier, and you can finally see where you’re going.

With all-caster dollies, pulling is usually more stable, but that means walking backward and dealing with swinging loads on 90° turns. Engaging the Directional Wheel eliminates that swing—push forward, keep your eyes on the path, and corner smoothly.

Originally designed for moving door units from receiving to customer pickup, it’s now indispensable in manufacturing: jobs that once took two people—one pulling, one steering—are handled solo. Even loading our own 10+ foot panel saws now takes one person and a Directional Wheel.
