Freedom Saw

New Freedom Saw   Keep your lungs and shop clean!   If you are concerned about saw dust getting in your lungs, machinery and air, we have the solution. The "Freedom" saw from Saw Trax has incredible dust collection because it rides on the material eliminating the gap between the saw plate and the top of the material, where most of the saw dust comes from. You can cut Hardi Plank, MDO, solid surface materials and all sign blanks without the concern of saw dust getting in your lungs or machinery.

Some sign shops would shy away from some materials because of saw dust and the close proximity to their printers or dust sensitive machinery or operations. They were limited to what their "mat cutter" could cut.

Now they have the freedom to cut any material to any size. They can also cut in both directions, up and down and sideways.  Materials like, aluminum laminated to plywood, Vinyl laminated to plywood, Aluminum composite with polyethylene or rubber core,  expanded PVC,
SIGNABOND, DIBOND, GATORFOAM, SINTRA, COREX, aluminum sheets, acrylics, plastics, plywood, laminated plywood, and other materials used by sign shops.

Now you can offer your customers an unlimited amount of materials for their sign blanks without the worry of saw dust in your shop!

New Freedom Saw Insert

If you want the ease and speed of cutting your sheet material with a vertical panel saw without all of the dust, the new Freedom Saw from Saw Trax is the saw for you.

Michelle DeLaughter, a Saw Trax spokesperson says "This new saw insert gives the user the "freedom" to cut any material without being limited by the saw dust issues of conventional panel saws."

It is a "floating" saw and works like a floating router.  The saw lowers down and rides on the material eliminating the gap between the saw plate and the top of the material, where the dust on a typical panel saw escapes.  It uses a 10 amp. Makita saw with a 4 3/8" blade for a  ¾" depth of cut.  A Delryn plate on the bottom of the saw plate is used to ensure your material isn't scratched.

The Freedom insert uses 12 sealed bearings for a smooth movement. Combining those 12, with the 12 sealed bearings used on the Saw Trax carriage that give a smoother and more accurate cut, you have 24 total bearings working in unison.

Since this is a saw insert, it can be purchased separately to upgrade an existing Saw Trax panel saw.  A floating router insert and a knife cutter insert are also available for these machines.

Now, all of your panel work can be done vertically on one machine, saving space, time and money.  If dust is not an issue, the conventional vertical panel saw using the 12 sealed bearing carriage is an alternative choice.

Testimonial

We found the unit extremely easy to install and, after a small adjustment to square it up, we were up and running in no time at all. You have included so many great features in the system, it makes the Saw so simple to use, and produces an accureate cut every time.

Being in the print industry we are sensitive to dust, however space restrictions means we have the machine in close proximity to a laminating machine and printer. With the dust colletion system there is virtuall no concern at all, it really does work!

Fantastic product, great service, thank you very much. Michael Kingdom, Vivid Images Ltd., Hamilton, New Zeanland
