What is 3 mil ACM? It's Aluminume Composit Material, ususally rubber sandwiched between 2 sheets of aluminum. A well recognized brand name is "DiBondtm".

If the Saw can cut ACM, why make a special insert? Many people have asked us to this because their shops are very dust sensitive. This not only cuts the ACM but rounds over the edges.

How does it cut without making saw dust? The insert uses two opposing circular cutters mounted on the ends of a long "C" shaped bracket. These circular cutters pinch the material forcing it to split. Because of the pinching action, the sides of the cut are rounded so there are no sharp edges.

Why doesn't your cutter "noodle" or bend the material like the mat cutters on the market? Since we have a larger carriage, our cutter can have longer outfeed slots making a much gentler outfeed. Our outfeed slots are about 3 times longer than the competions.
